Features

Boron nitride powders for industrial applications are available in a range of grades with a different physical and chemical properties and particle morphology. The key features desired for the numerous industrial applications are high temperature stability and lubricity.

Industrial boron nitride powders are white ceramic materials with a hexagonal crystal structure with the following features:

  • Non-wet by most molten metals
  • High chemical inertness and corrosion resistance
  • Excellent lubrication properties at temperatures up to 1800°C
  • High temperature stability and oxidation resistant
  • Enhanced alternative to basic lubricants such as graphite and molybdenum disulphide
