Repairing refractory mastic UNIMOLD-850
Repairing refractory mastic UNIMOLD-850 is an effective refractory composition designed for the fabrications of launders and the joining, bedding and patching of precast refractory shapes. The mastic is applied by hand, either with a syringe to seal the joints, or with a spatula and dries to a strong, hard and erosion resistant surface.
Advantages
- Non-wetting by aluminium alloys, magnesium and zinc
- Easy to apply and high surface quality after final processing
- Low shrink coefficient reduces the chance of metal penetration
- Strong adhesion to all standard refractories

Recommendations for use
- The mastic must be applied to a clean from dust and oil surface
- The material is applied by hand, either with a syringe to close the joints or with a spatula
- Temperature of the surface during the application should be between 15 - 35 ° C
- Maximum thickness - 50 mm
- Directly after application the mastic should be dried by gas flame heating for 8 hours for every 25 mm of thickness, or in an oven at a temperature of 150 to 175 ° C for 8 hours for every 25 mm of thickness
- All microcracks should be filled with mastic after drying
- The pail should be closed tightly to prevent drying out and loss of elasticity
Package: 5/10/20 kg plastic pails
Storage and safety
Store in a dry place at a temperature not lower than + 5 ° C, do not freeze. The minimum shelf life under proper conditions and unopened original packaging - 12 months
